The First Thursday Art Walk is a celebration of the arts in downtown Telluride for art lovers, community and friends. A dozen venues open their doors from 5pm-8pm to introduce their new exhibitions and artists. The finest restaurants feature Art Walk Specials that make for a great night out on the town. First Thursday Art Walk

Since 1999 the Sheridan Opera House has been the home of the Telluride Comedy Festival. Each year over Presidents’ Day Weekend the Sheridan Arts Foundation and festival director Jeb Berrier bring in some of the countries best and funniest comedians for four nights of amazing comedy in a historic and intimate venue. Every night the show revolves around one comedic form; either stand-up, improv or sketch comedy, with an occasional world premiere such as the Human Giant Roadshow or Ed Helms ‘Whisky Sour Radio Hour’.

The Telluride Comedy Festival strives to be a world class event while keeping the grass roots feel and uniqueness of Telluride itself. Past performers include, Rob Riggle of the Daily Show, Jack MacBrayer from 30 Rock, Stephanie Weir of Mad TV, Arj Barker from Flight of the Choncordes, Tig Notaro from the Sarah Silverman Program, SNL’s Casey Wilson, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, Brian Huskey, Seth Morris, Jamie Denbo, John Ross Bowie, Bob Dassie, Craig Cackowski, Rob Huebel, Aziz Ansari, June Raphael, Scott Armstrong, Jason Mantzoukas, Eric Appel, Brett Gelman, Eric Andre and Paul Scheer.

Set in the beautiful backdrop of Telluride, Colorado, our spirited but unpretentious week offers a unique blend of top-rate skiing and entertaining events. Gay Ski Week

 Local discussions at the Palm Theatre surround video presentation of TED talks about science and innovation.

The TAB Silent Auction, curated by renowned art connoisseur Baerbel Hacke, combines the best of local and international art, and also features pieces from the patients of Denver’s Childrens Hospital Immunodeficiency Program (CHIP). All art is priced to sell. Event taking place at the Sheridan Opera House. Free entry.

Telluride AIDS Benefit: Art Auction

TAB hosts the social event of the winter : The Gala Fashion Show features local models and AIDS activist displaying the latest lines from Perry Ellis to Diane Von Furstenberg in a production that is best described as New York fashion meets Cirque de Soleil. Telluride AIDS Benefit: Gala Fashion Show

All remaining clothing from the TAB fashion shows will be sold at the trunk sale for a fraction of their value. Designers from the show will also be present, selling their latest work and donating a portion of the proceeds to TAB. Free entry.
