Good grief! Join Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Linus, Sally and a gallery of Peanut friends for one of the funniest, sweetest musicals of all time. The Sheridan Arts Foundation Young People’s Theater kicks off its 15th season performed by 30 local thespians in grades 6, 7 and 8. Happiness is the YPT at the Sheridan Opera House! Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for children 12 and under. Lap children are free.
Local star Apoc will be performing a set of his original hip hop songs as well as djing hip hop hits new and old. Though he’s been busy playing shows around the U.S. and Europe, this will be his first rap performance in Telluride in over a year! Doors open at 9pm, well drinks will be 2 for the price of 1 until 11pm and there is no cover charge! Get there early for the rapping, stay late for the dancing!
The next Kelly Clarkson or Justin Bieber could be discovered on Dec. 10 during the fourth annual TellurIDOL, a singing contest to benefit Telluride Young Life. Winner could take up to $1,000. The evening also includes a live and silent auction with a variety of great items including a hot air balloon ride, lodging packages, restaurant certificates and a lot more. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 22 at noon.
Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Silent Night – will be echoing throughout Mountain Village’s plazas for Winter Fest. TMVOA will provide the music in Heritage Plaza, Town of Mountain Village in TCC plaza and BootDoctors at the ice rink. Holiday Busker Entertainment ~ 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. The classic holiday buskers will entertain patrons and visitors. Cirque Core and Jeff Badger will provide the Holiday Busker Entertainment in the Mountain Village.
Number / Sticker Game ~ 12:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Make sure to stop by the Telluride Ski Resort Booth in the Heritage Plaza to pick up your sticker for a chance to meet new people and win prizes at participating Mountain Village retailers. Sitting with Santa ~ 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Kids of all ages can say hello to Santa in the Heritage Plaza and tell him what they want for Christmas, and have a picture taken with him, too. This year pictures will be taken by parents and we encourage everyone to upload them to the Mountain Village Merchants facebook page. Fun provided by Realize Planning. Holiday Crafts for Kids (while supplies last) ~ 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. As the children wait to tell Santa what they want this year for Christmas, kids of all ages will have the opportunity to be creative! There will be face painting, holiday crafts and an opportunity to decorate their very own Christmas tree ornament to add to tree in Heritage Plaza. Fun provided by Telluride Sitters, 970-708-0170 Holiday Cookies (while supplies last) ~ 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. As they wait to tell Santa what they want this year for Christmas, kids of all ages can enjoy holiday cookies. Treats provided by Realize Planning. “Guess How Many” ~ 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Children and Adults alike will be able to sign up for a guess (By the Santa Tent)and there will be a prize given over the weekend. Fun provided by Realize Planning. Free Sledding ~ 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Telluride Ski Resort will open up the bottom of Misty Maiden for Free Sledding. Sleds will be available or you can bring your own. Tree Lighting Ceremony ~ 6:00 p.m. Town of Mountain Village Mayor and Santa will light up the HUGE holiday tree in Heritage Plaza at 6:00 p.m. with the help of the elves and the kids. Carolers will be providing a pre-lighting entertainment starting at 5:30 as we all gather towards Heritage Plaza to light up the holiday tree. Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club Fundraiser: Stept productions’ “Mutiny”

Support the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club with a screening of Stept Production’s “Mutiny” on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. Doors are at 5:30 p.m., silent auction runs until 7 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:15 p.m. They will have an assortment of gear for silent auction and will be giving swag away too!
In 2013, after 12 years of producing ski films, Stept Productions embarked on its largest film project to date. Today, Stept is proud to announce its newest feature: Mutiny. The film docments young, progressive skiers as they commence on a mission around the U.S.; using the biggest cities in the country as their playground, the Stept crew sacrifices their health as they continue to redefine street skiing. Groundbreaking action, couple with an award-winning film crew brings a dark and mysterious story to light. Mutiny is intended for a mature audience and is dedicated to exposing the viewer to the raw and unfiltered world of the Stept Crew.
Tickets are $15 or $20 for Parent/Children combined.

This original play brings back two of Telluride’s favorite characters, ski bums extraordinaires Dude & Bro. With music, dance and skiing they take the audience on an epic holiday journey— a familiar story retold in Telluride’s way. Fun for the whole family (PG-13) this Christmas Carol is like the most gnar-steeze frosty powder day…on stage! The show will be at 8 p.m. nightly and close out with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $10 on Dec. 18 (locals night!) and $15 for adults and $12 for students. Tickets are on sale now!

The first Rail Jam of the season will showcase skiers and riders battling it out in an open format. Winners will receive cash, skis, snowboards, and much more!
